Hey you guys! Hope your week went well. This is an informative post- no pics. Just want to share what we did this week and post pictures in another post- that way the post isn't long for you guys :)


The first week of school we learned about stars through ayats from the Qur'aan. Here is a run down of this week :)

These lesson plans are still being revised...but I use them in the meantime since I cannot afford to miss school with the ladies :)

What is the biggest star? The sun!
Activity: popcorn & program
Activity: Make your own map
Activity: Cooperative wall mural on large paper. Use big brushes with shades of deep blue and indigo paint. Add stars of all sizes, a moon (discuss whether crescent or full) nocturnal flying animals (owl, bat), airplanes with lights etc. 
Activity: sit and view the sky at day and night and write down differences- talk about color- what we see…

Draw a picture of a sun

    The whole lesson plan is so awesome Masha Allaah! I really love it and actually a well planned week of activities.

    Now cant wait to see the pics!!!!

    Also the compliment that the lesson plan is nice is BIG coming from you since you are one of those that I follow on how to home school better.
    I just saw that you post your summary I'm going over there to check it out Inshaa'Allaah. Nahhhh your post is always informative and beneficial- so even if it seems long i really enjoy it! I think it helps others Mashaa'Allaah and myself.
